Alison Keable (Ali)
22nd August 1984
I was born and raised in northwest London. I chose to study a BA in Linguistics with English Literature at the University of Wesminster, while continuing to work at my own secondary school as both Librarian and Languages Assistant. I then decided to complete a training course in TESOL at Golders Green College, and fly out to Vitoria-Gasteiz where I’ve lived and taught English since 2007.
Why Iʼm an English Coach:
As a child I admired my teachers and knew I wanted to grow up to help others learn. I’ve always found languages interesting and take particular pleasure in exploring English syntax and phonetics. I want to make English available to others, as a tool for communication and a source of enjoyment.
Advice to learners:
Learning English isn’t something you can ever really finish. Your objective should be to continue the process. We can only learn a language by making mistakes. There is success in every syllable.
Singing with my guitar, playing videogames, learning about well-being and positive psychology.
